Propeller Design

Stark/AMI maintains a suite of propeller and wind-turbine performance prediction and design methods. Stark/AMI engineers are experts in the design and calculation of fixed and variable pitch propeller performance and can develop airfoil families optimized for the specific design points along a propeller blade. Stark/AMI is also adept in the design of propeller blades for low-noise and has successfully built and flight tested a quiet propeller on a small general aviation airplane.

Stark/AMI methods are capable of low-loading, hover and static thrust prediction. Stark/AMI methods for propeller performance prediction include the VSAERO ROTOR module and other in-house methods.
