Viorel Gruenwald - CEO
Viorel joined AMI as CEO in September 2019. In this capacity, he is further developing the company portfolio to serve the aviation & national border security market in Romania with state of the art and economically affordable solutions. Before joining AMI, Viorel was Senior Sales Manager for Europe at SITA (Societe Generale de Telecommunications Aeronautique) and brings a wealth of 20 years international aviation IT&C business expertise. Prior to that, he served as CIO for Central & Eastern Europe at Boehringer Ingelheim Austria GmbH in the farmaceutical industry and Supply Chain Manager for Europe at Motopart GmbH in the automotive industry. His background is in aerospace engineering, specialized in satelite communications (air to ground - Nachrichtentechnik), holds a bachelor degree in Economics from International Business University Vienna in Austria, a Master of Business Administration degree from University of Minnesota in USA and a PhD degree in Finance from Graduate School of Business Administration Zurich in Switzerland.
